Huawei sent invitations out to members of the press this afternoon, inviting the world of tech journalism to an event taking place in Barcelona on 26 February, the day before MWC officially kicks off. Of course there are many interpretations possible for "flagship device", but it could well be the Huawei P10.
It's likely CEO Richard Yu will take the wraps off the Huawei P10, the successor to the Huawei P9, which will surely build on the hardware and software platform of Huawei's latest phablet. The rumor mill has yet to conjure up anything particularly convincing on what the P10 will look like.
Leaked images suggest we'll see a phone with a front-mounted fingerprint sensor, rather than a scanner built into the back of the phone. In many ways it looks similar to the Huawei Mate 9 Porsche D
At the CES 2017 Las Vegas event, Huawei announced that their latest Huawei Mate 9 has now become the world’s first smartphone to come with Amazon Alexa voice assistant software preinstalled.
Huawei's flagship offering brings out the best of the Huawei Mate 8 and Huawei P9 in one nifty package.
The Mate 9 brings together the big screen and battery of the Mate 8 and the awesome dual-lens Leica camera from the Huawei P9 to create the absolute best of Huawei in a single device. These hardware features are then powered by the latest Android 7.0 Nougat and EMUI 5.0 so that this single device has everything an enterprise user could want in a single Android smartphone.
We aren’t sure yet if Huawei will be rolling out updates for the existing crowd of Huawei Mate 9 Pro devices.

Huawei has been running a beta program for the Nougat update for a few of its older high-end phones, and now it may almost be time for the finalized software to become available. According to a new rumor out of China, the company will in fact release the final Android 7.0 build for the Huawei P9 and Huawei Mate 8 today, on December 7.
The first two phones that will get the update is Huawei P9 and Mate 8. They will be followed by Huawei P9 Plus, Huawei P9 lite, Nova and then Nova Plus. The Android 7.0 Nougat will come in the form of EMUI (Emotional UI) 5.0 for Huawei’s devices, which is the manufacturer’s Android-based custom user interface.
Whether or not there’s a shred of truth in these rumors remains to be seen, but one thing to remember here is that the news only rel
Huawei hasn’t always been the best when it comes to software, both in terms of its skin and reliability of system updates. However, along with a massive overhaul to its UI on the Huawei Mate 9, the company appears to be pushing Android Nougat to a few of its devices just a bit quicker than usual.
The new EMUI 5.0, Huawei claims, is more efficient, secure, and user friendly. It "significantly cuts down on the number of steps needed to achieve the desired function," the company says in a press release, adding that "furthermore, the user can reach 90% of the core functions in just two to three clicks."
The devices that will update to EMUI 5.0 (Android 7.0 Nougat) include the Huawei Mate 8, Huawei P9, Huawei P9 Plus, Huawei P9 Lite, Huawei nova and the Huawei nova Plus. Some publication
Chinese smartphone manufacturer Huawei announced that global shipments of its Huawei P9 and Huawei P9 Plus smartphones crossed the 10 million mark, making them Huawei's first flagship series to hit the milestone.
Since it achieved such good results in 2015, Huawei's target for 2016 was raised to 140 million shipped phones. And the company's senior VP, Yu Chengdong, has now confirmed that this target has been reached. Since the flagship P9 was at 9 million shipments in November, it's easy to assume that, since Huawei has hit its 140-million mark, the P9 and P9 Plus have passed the 10 million shipments milestone as well. The company expects its Huawei Mate 9 flagship duo to sell around 12 million devices internationally before it is replaced by its successors in 2017.

The Huawei P9 and Huawei Mate 9 are amongst the most powerful smartphones Huawei had introduced this year. These two devices were announced back in April, and we’ve already seen several rumors / leaks when it comes to the Huawei P10 which is expected to land in the first half of next year. Having that in mind, a couple of new renders just leaked, and these are allegedly showing off the Huawei P10, even though the design doesn’t fit with previous leaks.
You’ll notice a rather futuristic-looking smartphone, and even though it looks really sleek and everything, this seems more like a concept design than the actual device that Huawei might introduce next year. A leak that surfaced quite recently is far more believable than the one right here, but anything is possible.

Huawei launched its EMUI 5.0 launcher based on Android Nougat 7.0 along with the flagship Huawei Mate 9 and seeded it to the Huawei Mate 8 and P9 and P9 Plus since.
A new leak on Weibo showed the EMUI 5.0 update (which is based on Nougat) roadmap for the majority of Huawei’s devices. The Huawei P9 and Huawei P9 Plus will be updated in the coming days, which leaves the company’s mid-range and older devices to be updated still.
Huawei Mobile is already scheduling updates for all four phones that will cover all of the exploits listed above. As mentioned, Huawei has not laid out a timeline for when these updates will hit. Huawei’s security tracker lists no temporary fixes for these exploits, so users are advised to use caution to protect their devices until the patches hit;
While a few years ago Huawei was a relatively unknown brand in the UK, the announcement of the Huawei P9 in 2016 changed all that. The company has gone from strength to strength with its impressive design philosophy and great value for money in its smartphones, and it’s looking to continue that trend with the Huawei P10 in 2017.
There has been a rumor of an update on Huawei's P9 that may change the way camera phones are seen. The Huawei P10 and Huawei P10 Plus may still have the dual 12MP sensor features of P9 or the second generation Leica setup of 20MP+12MP that Mate's have at the back. Although there are also expectations of a third generation Leica on its way, however, as per reports from Entrepreneur, P10 models are set to be released between March to April 2017.

Huawei has launched its new Huawei P8 Lite 2017. Although the name of the smartphone suggests that it is a successor to the Huawei P8 Lite, the device bears no comparison whatsoever with the successful P8 Lite from 2015.The Huawei P8 Lite 2017 is a completely stand-alone model, for both design and hardware. The design of the device is more like the Huawei Honor 8. The new device has a full HD display of 5.7 inches driven by a Kirin 655 octa-core processor .
The P8 Lite (2017) is powered by the company's latest mid-range Kirin 655 chip with an octa-core A53 processor and Mali-T830MP2 GPU. There are also 3GB of RAM on board, and 16GB expandable storage.
The smartphone includes a 12-megapixel camera on the back and an 8-megapixel one on the front. The unit is equipped with a 3,000 mAh batter
Huawei, considered to be slow in the updating process as said by many, has too started the updating process and it has announced its model Huawei Mate 9 to be updated with Android 7.0 Nougat. With this, Huawei Mate 8 will also be updated with the same.
The release of the Huawei Mate 9 was to be announced on the 3rd of November; meanwhile, a beta preview of Nougat for the Huawei P9 model was already appeared in July this year, making it available before Google did it for Nexus. The news for the update of the P9 model was questionable kept quite since then, the P9 gets in the list of the first Huawei phone with Nova to get updated with the new version.

Huawei's roadmap for the EMUI 5.0 Android 7.0 Nougat upgrade for their current smartphones has been leaked. The company has already launched the new version but only for some of their Huawei Mobile.
If you have one of the following devices, Honor 6X, Huawei Honor 8, Huawei Nova, and Huawei G9 Plus, then you are in luck. These smartphones are next in line to get Android Nougat-based EMUI 5.0. According to the Playfuldroid, Huawei Nova will be the first one to get the new software in March, followed by Huawei Note 8 and G9 Plus in April. Finally, the Honor 6X will be updated in May.In November, Huawei first unveiled EMUI 5.0 alongside the launch of its flagship Huawei Mate 9. Later, the company officially announced its roadmap for Android 7.0 Nougat roll out. At that time, Huawei announced t
According to a report by IDC, Huawei now has a strong presence in Europe and is finding a lot of success there because of its Huawei Mate 8 and Huawei P9 smartphones. The Huawei Mate 9 was announced in November and the handset is expected to be released in few EU nations and in China before Christmas. However, US will receive the handset only in January 2017.
Samsung has left some big boots to fill. For the record, Huawei's devices have proved hit-or-miss with Western users.Could the Mate 9 fill the smokey void left by its Korean competitors and become the new king of smartphone?
As per the IDC report, Huawei's success in Europe is taking away share from two other tech biggies, Apple and Samsung. Huawei may make the Mate 9 smartphone available to the US market via AT&T as it is facing
Huawei had a pretty big year in 2016. The company's Honor brand had a runaway success with both the Honor 5X and Huawei Honor 8, and Huawei's own Huawei Mate 9 that recently released has been receiving positive feedback from critics and consumers alike. Huawei has big plans to make its biggest push yet into the US market come 2017, but until then, the company is working on updating all of their current handsets to the latest and greatest version of Android.
Other than needing to have signed up for the beta, users will only be selected by Huawei if they’re using a specific variant of the Nova, which is the version with the model number B153. Users with a different model number will not be chosen to participate and test out the software, at least not for now, but there is always a pos
Huawei P10 is in the works and that's no secret. The Huawei P9, which pioneered the dual Leica-powered camera, is now more than six months old, and by today's standards it means the P9 series has reached half its product life. Sure, the P9 has been a bestseller for the company and will continue to be so over the holiday season, but the Huawei's next big thing is already in development.
We reported last week about a few live pictures of the alleged Huawei P10, which were leaked along with some of the phone's specs. Today, we have a new set of pictures that provide us with a better look on Huawei's upcoming flagship.
And judging by this new picture, there won't be a key at all. Apparently, the panel is a seamless glass, including the key holder, which means the key will be a capacitive one
Huawei only announced the Huawei Mate 9 back in early November, but it has just revealed that the high-end phablet will go on sale in Australia in the first quarter of 2017. Unlike competitor products which largely revolve around Qualcomm’s Snapdragon chipsets, the Mate 9 uses Huawei’s own Kirin chips, specifically the Kirin 960.
Huawei officially revealed the Mate 9 along with the Mate 9 Porsche Design during a global launch event in Germany on November 4. The Huawei flagship has two other variants that weren’t included during the launch: the Huawei Mate 9 Pro and the Huawei Mate 9 Lite. There’s no word yet if the other three variants will be alongside the regular Mate 9 model when it launches in Australia and the US.

Information about the new Huawei P10 leaked a few days ago. According to GizOK, the phone will have a dual-curve touchscreen. What is making news is that Huawei made a Home button and a fingerprint scanner in the back. The arrangement doesn’t make sense since the Home button can usually double as a fingerprint scanner as well.
Thanks to alleged leaked renders of the Huawei P10, it seems that Huawei could be taking a page out of Samsung’s book playbook by giving the P10 a curved display. As you can see in the image above, the P10 will feature similar curved displays on its side that we previously saw on Samsung’s Edge series of phones and the Galaxy Note 7.

Just when the Huawei P9 and Huawei Mate 9 are still getting the world´s attention, thanks to its greatness and quality.  Some leaks regarding the upcoming flagship Huawei P10 has just come out, revealing some incredible changes that show the Chinese company´s intentions of achieving the highest success in 2017, and conquer the U.S. market.
Front fingerprinting is also expected in Huawei P9’s successor. Several sources reported back-mounted fingerprint sensor but apparently the Chinese company is aiming for the more conventional user option. Huawei Mall reports also include wireless charging and if that's true it will be a first for Huawei. We are eager to confirm this part of the rumor since most flagships of the Chinese company sport a metal unibody which conceptual
Curved displays have steadily become more commonplace as TVs, smartwatches and smartphones began to feature the technology. The technology does not only add to an impressive design, but also features some unique gimmicks that might make the device more appealing. Huawei intends to embrace that concept through its Huawei Honor Magic and Huawei Mate 9 Pro.
The display underneath that lovely smooth glass is a 5-inch AMOLED one with a 2560×1440 resolution, giving it an exceedingly high 577 PPI. Dual 12-megapixel cameras on the back, one color and one monochrome, should produce excellent imagery than Huawei P9 and Huawei Honor 8.
The camera setup is also pretty decent, with a dual 12 megapixel cameras at the back sporting an f/2.2 aperture and 1.4µm pixels. The front facing unit is
Huawei announced its latest smartphone — the Huawei Mate 9 — in early November. The phablet will make its way to China and several European countries before Christmas but the phone will be available in the United States starting January 2017.
Huawei will also need to ensure its phones work properly with US carriers. To get the device working on Verizon or Sprint, Huawei would need to invest in a CDMA compatible variant, which WSJ notes is a significant cost which the company likely will not undertake. T-Mobile is also likely out of the picture, seeing that Huawei was recent in the midst of a patent dispute with the carrier. Even without these issues, getting carriers on board with Huawei’s brand would be pretty difficult. Huawei will likely only sell the device through on
The approval of of the Huawei Honor V9 from Chinese regulatory body TENAA hints at the impending launch of the new smartphone. Huawei announced that Honor V9 will be launched in its home country China on Feb. 21.
According to the report from Huawei Mall, the name of the phone outside of China will be the Huawei Honor 8 Pro. It adds that the company will make that reveal later this month 2017 Mobile World Congress trade show in Barcelona, Spain.Although Huawei Honor V9 and Honor 8 Pro are said to be the same device, the Russian tech site states there is only one notable difference between the two smartphones. Available in space grey, the Huawei Mate 9 has a 5.9” full HD screen, 64GB of built-in storage, dual-SIM capability, split-screen functionality, and increased battery capacity. Its Leica-designed camera consists of a 12MP colour sensor combined with a 20MP monochrome one, and built-in photographic features include light blurring. The Huawei Mate 9 Pro also has 4K video shooting with optical image stabilisation.

Huawei consumer division CEO Yu Chengdong recently announced that the company's latest flagship Huawei P10 and Huawei P10 Plus will be released on March or April this year. It was also revealed that the P10 will sport a non-curved design, while the P10 Plus will have a curved screen.
With the company's CEO giving a March or April launch window for the smartphones, it seems that Huawei will not debut the successor of Huawei P9 i.e. the P10, at the Mobile World Congress (MWC 2017), which is going to take place in Barcelona next month.
Chengdong hasn't confirmed any other specs or features of the upcoming smartphone(s), but they're expected to come with Huawei's new Kirin 960 processor and a huge 6GB RAM. There's a possibility they'll lose the physical front-mounted fingerprint scanner in fa
Every time we report on Huawei Mobile and its Honor sub-brand, we tend to pay close attention to a given device's affiliation to one or the other, since the two parties have made the case that they are quite independent, on more than one occasion. Perfectly aware of that point, we still can't help but get a little bit confused when we come across leaks, like the two TENAA certification pages currently at hand.
A closer look at the specs of the leaked Honor DUK-TL30 smartphone, it appears that it could be the successor to the Huawei Honor 8. Whether Huawei will go the Huawei Honor V9 way or take the Huawei Honor 9 direction is still unknown, but we have the most important details – the specs.
But, genealogy aside, the DUK-TL30 is shaping up like a noticeably superior device. It offer
The Huawei P9 was released back in April but it appears that the company has had a huge success with the phone as nine million units have been sold. It's been almost seven months since the phone was released but Huawei continues to sell the phone as if it had been released a month ago. Huawei, the world's third largest smartphone maker, had sold six million Huawei P9 phones in September, so the company has sold another three million in two months.
Up to this point, Huawei has sold more than 9 million P9 units, from its launch in April. What's more, this means the company was able to move around 3 million units in the past two months alone, which is certainly impressive given that the P9 has been available for quite a while now.
The spec sheet of the Huawei P9 is rather impressive, we're l
Even as the Huawei Honor 8 receives the Android Nougat update, it seems that the company is also thinking of launching the device's successor dubbed the Huawei Honor 9.
The source of this information is a listing on TENAA, which is the Chinese equivalent of the FCC. A mysterious Honor smartphone bearing the model number DUK-TL30 has been certified by TENAA, suggesting that its release is not far away. Since the listing does not reveal the name of the smartphone, but only its model number, it is not confirmed whether the device is the Honor 9 or Huawei Honor V9 or some other handset under this brand name.
It is expected that this upcoming Honor 9 mobile device would be an enhancement over its predecessor the Honor 8. Per leaks, this Honor handset shall be equipped with an octa-core process
According to GizOK, Huawei is prepping the MediaPad T3 for Mobile World Congress. Not only that, but the device was just passed through Wi-Fi certifications, meaning that it’s getting closer to being launched.
Unfortunately, there is no other information available for the MediaPad T3, so Huawei has been doing a pretty good job at keeping this one under wraps. We’ll have to wait and see what’s in the works at MWC 2017.
Still, if Huawei’s tablet offerings from last year are anything to go by, it should end up being quite a nice device. Last year, the company launched the Huawei MediaPad M3, which some hailed as the best Android alternative to the iPad. It featured a Kirin 950 chipset, along with 4GB of RAM, and either 32GB or 64GB of storage. The best thing about the
On December 16, Huawei is holding a special event in China where it will unveil the Honor Magic. This smartphone will be a 'concept' device, showcasing the best of what the company can accomplish at the moment from a technology standpoint. Or simply put, it's Huawei's response to the Xiaomi Mi Mix.
Huawei is describing the Honor Magic as a concept device, similar to how Xiaomi described the Mi Mix, Huawei Mate 9, Huawei P9 and Huawei Honor 8 showcasing the best technology that the company can incorporate into a smartphone.
In contrast, the Honor Magic still has bezels at the top and the bottom, though not as large as most smartphones. We’re guessing the ratio will be around 85-90%. That gives the front camera enough room to be on top and also fit a fingerprint scanner at the bottom.
Huawei has launched a successor to the Huawei Honor V8 called the Huawei Honor V9. The new smartphone goes with a new design but sticks to the dual camera set up for the rear. The smartphone for now has only been launched in China and is currently can pre-order in GizOK.
The new Honor V9 will be powered by a HiSilicon Kirin 960 chipset. It sports a 5.7-inch QHD LTPS display on top. The phone will have a metal design which offers tough look. It looks pretty handy as per the images. The new Honor V9 will be available in three different variants. The first variant will have a 4 GB RAM with 64 GB Internal Storage capacity, The second and third variant will have 6 GB RAM with 64 GB and 128 GB memory storages. You can go with the one which suites your needs better. This is not enough, you can e
Huawei is expected to bring the Huawei Mate 9 to the United States soon. It will reportedly be released alongside the Porsche Design model but the Huawei Mate 9 Pro and Huawei Mate 9 Lite model might be unavailable.
However, starting next year Huawei Mate 9 could be picked by one or more carriers in the country. According to reputable leaker Evan Blass, Huawei's flagship smartphone will be released in the U.S. on January 6, and while there's no word on price, we have no reasons to believe the phone will be cheaper than GizOK's.
The Huawei Mate 9 features a 5.9-inch full HD 2.5D curved display. The phone is powered by HiSilicon Kirin 960 SoC processor with Mali-G71 MP8 GPU atop. The Huawei Mate 9 runs on Android 7.0 Nougat out of the box with Emotion UI 5.0 atop. The smartphone comes with 4
Shortly after images of the Huawei P10 smartphone made it to the Internet, we have now been treated with images of the alleged Huawei P10 Plus. The Chinese company has already confirmed that the Huawei P10 will be unveiled at the company's February 26 event in Barcelona at the sidelines of MWC 2017. We can expect the alleged Huawei P10 Plus to be launched alongside the P10 smartphone.
We're certain that this is the Huawei P10 and not the P10 Plus because the the phone in the image sports a flat display. According to the latest rumors, Huawei P10 Plus will boast a 5.5-inch curved-edge display, while the regular Huawei P10 version is supposed to feature a smaller 5.2-inch flat display.
The P10 phones feature a 5.5-inch screen carrying a 1440 x 2560 resolution, and are powered by a home-grow
After Huawei Mate 9, Huawei is seems to be planning on launching a different line-up of premium cell phones. Be that as it may, Huawei has another lineup of top of the line cell phones, the P series. The organization anticipates adding to its P series. New data with respect to the cell phone’s hypotheses as of late risen on a benchmarking site, GFXBench and the cell phone seems to have a great deal in store for its fans. A cell phone with codename Huawei LON–L29 has just recently been spotted at GFXBench and taking a look at its specs, it seems to be the organization’s upcoming Huawei P10. Also that the current Huawei flasghip, the P9 is otherwise called LON–L19.
We're looking at a 5.5-inch screen with a 1440 x 2560 pixel resolution, which is pretty much par for the
Huawei now has a solid base in Europe mainly because of its Huawei Mate 8 and Huawei P9 smartphones. The Huawei Mate 9 was announced in the month of November and the handset is expected to be released to the market in few EU countries and China before Christmas. However, US will get the handset in January 2017.
Mate 9 is a 5.9-inch high-end smartphone, powered by Kirin 960 chipset. It runs Android Nougat under EMUI 5.0 custom skin. The battery packs 4,000 mAh capacity and it pairs 64 GB storage with 4 GB RAM. In addition to the impressive specs, the optic offers Leica's 20 MP (dual lens) rear shooter with 12 MP front shooter. On paper, Mate 9 packs a punch with the huge RAM, battery and decent SoC performance.
There is no word about the pricing but Mate 9 64GB version is speculated to be
Having announced the Huawei Mate 9 flagship smartphone back in November last year, Chinese phone manufacturer Huawei is pushing hard to beat the Mobile World Congress rush of smartphones by officially launching the phone in Australia on 7 February.
The Mate 9 makes some pretty significant updates under the hood compared to the currently available Huawei Mate 8, most notably a new Kirin 960 processor that — on paper, at least — looks like it'll be more than competitive with the current state of the art from Qualcomm and Samsung. Compared to the last-gen chip, it's 40 per cent more powerful at processing and 180 per cent more gutsy in the graphics department.
The Mate 9 also inherits the Leica-branded dual-lens camera from the Huawei P9, although in this phone it's an over-under
Huawei Honor 8 will be acquiring an Android Nougat update come February 2017, as confirmed by multiple outlets. The said update will offer standard Android Nougat features for the Honor 8, which includes split-screen, quick reply and multi-tasking features. However, it is said to have impacted Huawei's EMUI skin tremendously.
In order to receive Android Nougat 7.0 update that will be sent over-the-air, it will have to get certified by Huawei. Huawei Mall sources suggest that Huawei will roll out Android Nougat 7.0 along with its EMUI 5 and finally replacing its EMUI 4.1 and Android Marshmallow 6.0 with which it was rolled out this summer. The latest Android Update is no ordinary as it has a plethora of features that will enhance Honor 8 capabilities.
In the Tech Times report for EMUI 5.0,
Huawei impressed critics when it came up with its flagship phone - the Huawei P9 Plus and Huawei P9. Up front, you get a 5.5 inch FHD display, plus the Press Touch, which is Huawei's answer to Apple''s 3D Touch technology.
Battery life is also promising as the P9 Plus has a 3,400mAh power pack and a 'rapid charge mode' which allows 6 hours of talk time with 10 minutes of charging.
Huawei Mate 9 With its spacious 5.9-inch display, the Mate 9 is a phablet that's built to last. It also comes with a powerful processor, a great camera, and stellar battery life.
One of the phone's key selling point is its compatibility with the Daydream VR platform. It also has a Machine Learning Algorithm which can adapt to the way you use your phone by prioritizing the apps you use most often.
Huawei's offs
The Huawei Mate 9 is the new phablet from the Chinese brand. The manufacturer has great expectations and goals for this phone, going so far as to say it's competing against both the S7 edge and the iPhone 7 Plus. Selling at a rather competitive price for its technical specifications (699 euros), the Huawei Mate 9 is one of this season's best smartphones. Here are three reasons why you should consider buying it over iPhone 8 next year.
Its predecessor had a great reputation for its hardware, and gladly, the Mate 9 is no exception. The most recent Huawei baby has a 4000 mAh battery, which is capable of supporting a full day of intensive use. If you are a more mild user, it's possible to get at least a couple of battery life out of the device.
With the Huawei P9, Huawei introduced its
